Very many thanks, Aryeh. I have some photos that will enable me to make a model with your dimensions. It will have to wait for the completion of the masters of the Pearl Harbor landforms.
Modified masters for the southern end of the Navy Yard are complete and I have started working on the un-issued sections of Ford Island. New masters for gasoline tanks, mooring quays and the Control Tower are ready for trial mouldings too, so I am still on my schedule for completion of the project!

: YFD-2 was the second floating drydock of the
: USN. The first was the famous Dewey dock
: that was later towed all the way to the
: Philippines.
: YFD2 was built between 1899 and 1902 (start
: and finish years). She had a nominal lift
: capacity of 18000 tons.
: The dock was 525 feet long and had a molded
: overall width of 126' 3".
: the length on blocks was 519'6" and the
: width, clear, inside, between permanent
: obstuctions, was 88'3".
: maximum draft when submerged was 50' and
: light draft was 4'6".
: draft over blocks was 28'
: The dock was considered suitable for docking
: cruisers and escort carriers.
: The dock was originally assigned to the
: naval station in New Orleans, but was towed
: to Pearl Harbor in 1940 by 2 navy tugs. The
: dock sank following the attack, but was
: raised and put back in service by Mar 1942.
:
: Most of the above data comes from the 1945
: edition of "Ships' Data U.S. Naval
: Vessels".
: I hope its enough to answer your needs.

: Board about Yard Floating Dock No.2 at Pearl
: Harbor. I failed to take a note of the
: dimensions, if they were given. Please can
: anyone help with the vital statistics?
