Twitter is a tool

I don't plan on dropping my newsletter but I started it with the goal of monthly newsletters and I'm lucky to get it out quarterly. You don't have to do Twitter to read the 1250Ships Twitter page.

Not to pick on Tom but his post raised this issue. Whenever we have a collector's meeting be it a small local get together or the larger annual ones someone starts the discussion about how we have to reach younger collectors. Well the next generation is on Twitter and Facebook. They will expect to find a community and businesses there. The hobby can either reach out to where they are or ignore them and hope they show up at a meeting or run into a collector or this site.
