Breaking News: Brady Shoemaker went 2/4 with a run scored batting cleanup for the Carolina League All Stars as his team crushed the California League All Stars 9-1 Tuesday evening

Dash outfielder Brady Shoemaker earned the Carolina League's Batter of the Week honor for his efforts June 11-17, the league office announced Monday.
This is the second Batter of the Week award for Shoemaker this season.
In six games this week, Shoemaker led the league with 13 runs batted in and compiled a .526 (10-for-19) batting average. The Carolina League All-Star posted four extra-base hits and scored five runs.
Shoemaker's big game came in the opener of a three-game series against Potomac Monday night. Shoemaker matched a career high with six RBI. He finished 2-for-4 that night with a home run and two runs scored.
On the year, Shoemaker is second in the Carolina League with a .346 batting average and leads the league with 53 RBI. The Brazil, IN native is among the top five in the league in hits and runs scored.
This is the Dash's third weekly honor of the season and their second in a row. Fellow outfielder Trayce Thompson was the CL's Batter of the Week last week. Shoemaker also won the honor for games played from May 7-13.
