Last year after the 0-5 skid when 'we found ourselves' what we found was that giving Jake Odum minutes paid dividends. He 'emerged' as the team leader and the guy who made the plays that starting winning games.
This year I'm not sure if there is an 'emergent' player yet discovered to lead us to wins. Remember how well the 'Elite 8' played when Jake Kelly and Dwayne Lathan, the two 'stars', were sidelined and how they disappeared again when those 'leaders' came back -- just before Jake Odum emerged to lead the team?
Who will be stepping up this year has many options but no 'indication' as yet. Let's hope that kid or kids will emerge soon. Senior Richard with back spasms and leader Odum with fasciitis requires that someone else steps up. If not, we'll need rooms Thursday night and will be calling next season a 'rebuilding' season.
