Re: MoVal Post Season: WSU Wins NIT

Wichita State broke open a close (55-51 I believe) game over the last 5+ minutes to pull away to a 14 point lead and ultimate victory over Alabama.
On the local Richmond, Va radio this morning, Big Al was commenting on the Richmond Connection in that game: WSU coach Greg Marshall apparently attended Randolph-Macon located just north of Richmond and, of course, Anthony Grant was the head coach at VCU until moving to Alabama two seasons ago.
A comment was made about 'how much better' that road win at WSU for VCU looks now that Wichita has dominated the NIT.
This leads to an obvious question since VCU is widely considered the last at-large team into the field: Would VCU have received a bid if it had lost at WSU?
That win may have been the little nudge that moved VCU ahead of the other contenders.
