Seems to be the print version of Colin The Herd of ESPN. Understands in today's markets there is some level of demand for the outrageous.
I saw a picture of him in his Mohawk haircut and read an interview he gave on U of Md's flagship station.
I quote from that below concerning Coach Gary Williams, "Unless he's got crazy talent that can overcome him being a maniac on the sideline, of course they're gonna choke. And you know why that is? 'Cause their coach chokes 40 minutes a game."
I mean, any guy who calls out Maryland (and the ACC except for UNC and Duke) can't be all bad.
Has a regular Thursday column in which he responds to hate mail.
Honestly, what did he write that was negative or offensive in the reference to Lansing. A preseason 7th place pick to NCAA Tourney was not even mentioned and in no way did he imply ISU was non-competitive with Syracuse.
He credits ISU with an 'epic run' through the MVC Tourney. Somehow, a 3 seed winning a tourney is far from an epic underdog victory.
