Re: Dish Network Frustration
The whole CBS thing with Dish really pisses me off, for sure. If you recall, during the Tourney last year the same thing happened to Comcast here in Indy. That said, I have been a Dish Net user for eight years. I got angry at Dish Net a year ago and dropped it and ordered DirecTV. Since the signals are both high quality, I felt it was time for a change. First of all, the entire installation was botched, the equipment they had promised all of a sudden was not available. In a multi-room environment, Dish Net had multiple advantages and once again, DirecTV mislead me on its capabilities. Bottom line, it is not always greener on the other side. Dish Net equipment is far superior and you can do more with it. I was able to get out of my new contract because I was so mislead in their capabilities and quickly had DishNet re-installed.
The cost is basically the same. In my eight years with Dish Net, I have never had a language barrier with any rep and always asked for supervisors when I had a serious issue and always was able to speak with one.
If you currently have a dual tuner Dish Net DVR, you will quickly find that it will run circles around what the other guy has.
Like I said, I am really pissed about the whole CBS issue but guess what, DirecTV will also have those same issues eventually. Between the two companies, you are not even comparing apples to apples. You'll see what I mean pretty quickly.
