What's going on?

OK. I don't get it. The biggest set of wins at ISU in 10 years and not a word about it on this forum. We have more comments after a loss than getting into the dance. So I guess I'll have to speak up instead of lurching on the sidelines. It is a wonderful feeling to be going back to the tournament. This team brought defense to new heights. They play smart, know when to double down and defensive rotations seem precision sharp. This team IMO works extremely hard for their teammates and their coach. Missouri State gets 20 offensive rebounds to our 4. We should have lost this game with numbers like those yet we held MS to 19% shooting. Doesn't happen often. Contibutions from everyone and no stars on this team right now-just solid players who play smart and hard and contest all shots and work clock to shorten the game. I thought Weems looked fantastic at first and had about 8 points of MS first 12 or so. Then ISU clamped down and he finished with 11 for game. Unreal for Player of the Year in the MVC. Odums play near end of game when he was dribbling toward left side of basket and waited until just before he went out of bounds and then he kicked it out to AC as the entire MS defense collapsed on him was my highlight of game. AC made the 3. Odum is just fun to watch with how much control he has of the game and how much fun he seemingly is having. Going to be fun to watch over the next few years. Great for ISU to get some attention. It was also great to see Kelly play. I feel terrible for this kid. First, the family tragedy to bring him to ISU then the ACL injury ending half of his junior year and this year marred by leg issues and I believe mono that all but ruined his senior year. He said in the paper he didn't think he would play and wound up with 16 minutes. He could have just given up with all he has been through in these last few years. I saw Kelly play quite a few times in second half of his sophomore year when he was honorable mention all Big 10 and his last half of his soph year I thought he could be close to 1st or 2nd team Big 10. His career slightly reminds me of Jay Tunnels at ISU where he was heralded out of High School and was virtualy injury riddled his entire ISU career (Before playing spectacularly in his last 10-12 games when he was relatively healthy). Checking numerous bracketology sites the majority of sites pick us as a 14 seed with 1 site saying a 15. The sites are predicting we play anyone from Syracuse, Georgetown, Purdue or even San Diego state. You can't win one without getting in even if the mountain is steep. More credibility for Lansing with players, recruits and high school coaches in his first year. Perhaps a strong foundation being built. Lets hope so. Go Sycamores.
