WTHI went as far as to completely DROP sports from their broadcast! Their feeling was that weather was the most important local news item...

Penske does an OUTSTANDING job of understanding local sports, and why people like me watch local sports. I don't watch WTWO or WTHI to hear anything about the Cardinals, MLB, NFL, etc... I watch sports networks for that.

I watch local sports for ... wait for it ... "local sports"!

Sometimes that includes the Colts - especially around spring training, etc..

Penske brought flair and exposure to local athletes... Recognized strong local programs, and let the audience build from that.

Semmler has learned from one of the better Sports Directors around here.
