No CROW in my diet this week. K-Mac, as always, did a wonderful presentation of the upcoming season. A season that will INCLUDE Harry Marshall, who will be on the court at practice this afternoon.
Obviously, the reports of Harry's demise were a bit premature. Although he did not address the specific reasons behind this week's off-court drama, He did state that his on-court work ethic did NOT have anything to do with it. Basically, this episode and subsequent suspension is between a high-level player and his coaches and that is the way it will remain.
This only intensify's the role of a message board plays with the university it represents, and the players and coaches. Discussions on here that are not public record or common knowledge can be extremely detrimental to the players being discussed and the specific team as well. As I commented this morning, after the original accusations were posted on here, the majority of the board members here showed true restraint and you should all be very proud of that.
I am excited about the upcoming season and the outstanding job that coach Lansing and K-Mac have done in recruiting. Starting the season off with unsubstantiated rumors and accusations is not healthy. Let's hope we all can remember that as the season goes forward.
The three new recruits that will ultimately replace our three graduating seniors sound outstanding as well and things are looking only up for our TREES, that's for sure.
