When it came to his day w/ the Lakers the one thing I remember is that a good practice for Kev was being able to stop Magic once on defense...not an easy task obviously.
I also remember that one of the very early games...when Westhead was still around, the game was on TV and Kev was put in late. Supposedly the play called for either Kev or Magic to take a 3...Magic ended up taking the 3 and missed but Kev tipped it back out and Magic shot it again and hit the buzzer beater to send it into OT. Pretty exciting to see him involved in crunch time situation on national television...I think it was against the 76ers and Moses Malone (but not certain).
Kareem was really nice to me...I met him at a pre-season game up in Detroit. When the Lakers came to town to play the Bulls he was apparently asking Kev about me being there for the game...I had a game myself that night sadly (soph year of high school). I met guys like Kurt Rambis and Michael Cooper and had my picture taken w/ Magic.
