You are correct, SW. Knee jerk reaction to another embarrassing loss. Less than 100 yards total offense? 41-0? I keep hearing about this improvement but have yet to see any. I get losing, but 20-41 would have felt a lot better. That's the deal.
I'm not saying soccer, men's volleyball or gymnastics would be revenue builders - but neither is football. We lose money every year on football.
I get the master plan. I get it takes time. But I also want to see some measure of improvement. Todd Golden made much of our improvement as the season progressed last year. I've yet to really see any of that this year.
I do have a lot of faith in Mr. Prettyman and staff, so I'll apologize for the outburst Saturday evening. The growing chorus of discontent needs to be addressed and acknowledged, however. Concerns are legit and shouldn't be dismissed as rantings of bandwagon fans. That's simply not the case. Fans have a right to be upset and the argument to drop football is a strong one.
