Yes, but I believe St. Francis may have went to the NAIA Championship game that year. If they didn't they were right there. I went to the ISU St.Francis game. St. Francis was probably big enough (they had 300 lb lineman) none fat and slow. They had a 6'5" QB who ran a bootleg for a touchdown. They had cornerbacks and linebackers who closed and they had team speed. St. Francis would have given IU and Purdue all they wanted that year. So yeah, it sucked that we lost to them, but it's not as bad a loss as IU losing to SIU...or MICHIGAN losing to Appalachian State and Toledo at in back-to-back years at home.
