Yes. And that's a very good thing. There has always been too much concern around here about hiring coaches who will stay long-term. I say hire the best coach available and let him improve the program for as long as he is here. If he wants a better job, he has to do a good job while he's here. Ambition is not a bad thing. To help himself, he must help us. If the program is in better shape when he leaves, then the hire was a success and we are in a better position to make another even better hire. As our coaches climb the ladder, we should be able to climb the ladder as well.
I believe the ISU baseball program is in better shape than when Coach Meggs got here. So I say "Congratulations, Coach Meggs, best wishes and thank you for your service". Now let's get another good one.
