I wrote Tom Davis at the FW News-Sentinel this morning........here's a copy of what I wrote, and at the end, is copy-n-paste of his response.

Did you know that Jake Kitchell has a scholarship offer from Indiana State?
Indiana State fans, hope he seriously considers ISU's offer over Oregon State's.
The news of the scholarship offers to Jake by Indiana State and OSU was reported in the Louisville Courier Journal in late May by beat writer Jody Demling.
With the constant talk across our state by sports writers and fans of keeping in-state talent within our state, why enthusiastically mention Oregon State, but not a word about Indiana State?
Would you have the same gusto for this Junior Indiana All-Star to go to Oregon State, if IU and Purdue were in the hunt for him?

"Yes, I was aware of his scholarship offers from Valpo, ISU and OSU. My point - which I do not consider to be "enthusiastic" - was to give the readers some insight to the level of school that was recruiting him. Being offered a scholarship from any Pac-10 school is a little more telling than being offered one from a low-level Missouri Valley Conference program. For what it is worth, I got the feeling that Jake is a small-town kid who has a large following of family/friends, so I am not sure that he will go 2,000 miles from home to play, so you might be in luck in getting him.
