Perhaps ONG can clarify what exactly those renderings are. Personally, I have not heard any mention that new locker rooms have been penciled in for Memorial Stadium. I do know that the old ones leave much to be desired and are quite likely outdated, but if they are in fact, being built out there, great. ANY improvement for the players can only help us in recruiting.
I thought the comments about the 300lb linemen being too big for the design was a bit ridiculous. First of all, it's a rendition, not an actual picture. RP has more brains than that! It either works for what we need, or it doesn't and I would find it hard to believe that our athletic department would build anything that was obsolete before it is even built.
I for one think putting ANY money into the existing stadium is a waste and if they are considering investing in Memorial, that just indicates that our dreams of an on-campus stadium likely have been put on the backburner.
So ONG HOP, if you would, fill us in on what those drawings actually are? Are the improvements a done deal or just a possibility?
