I went there on numerous occasions in the late 50's and early 60's...saw the King (Eddie Feigner) and his Court defeat a squad of local TH softball all-stars. Garfield, Tech & Wiley all played their home football and some of their baseball games there (they also used Spencer Field). I always loved hanging out in the L & RF facade. During the Summer Miner's Picnic, the local miners would sponsor a FREE circus inside the stadium and hand out FREE Thomas ride tickets. Always looked forward to this...had three sister's that were Miner's Picnic Queens...which meant EXTRA free rides!!!!
