I went to the Michigan Spring game yesterday and some talk had Threet going to EMU but no one for sure knew. It would make sense to go ISU or similar as he has already been to Georgia Tech, sat out a year and then played one at Michigan. Great kid. Very, very bright classic drop back passer, with some mobility. Caught up in Coaching change at Georgia Tech and new philosophy, then started at Michigan last year after being recruited by Lloyd Carr who ran pro set offense, but was not a good fit for the spread and Rodriquez at Michigan who has two new hotshot qbs, one who looked spectacular yesterday and exceptionally mobile. Writing on wall for Threet to be a capable backup in a system not suited to his skills. He wants to start in a pro set offense and he has been caught up in a maelstrom not of his causing. I would have to believe he would start at ISU immediately. This is one great kid who needs a little luck and a new home. Could help resurrect program if there is any credence to this rumour. If Coach brings him in it would show he is capable of recruiting far and wide and is serious about righting the ISU football ship. Love to see it happen.
