But the fact IS...IU truly did NOT have "institutional" control, as evidenced by the various entities who knew or should've known of the various infractions and FAILED to take action.
A DEATH SENTENCE would've served their pompous asses a reckoning that was long overdue...and maybe opened a door for ISU
to gain a foothold in territory(s) long protected by IU. The potential penalty(s) enacted by the NCAA on the various IU fraud/coverup issues could represent a cornerstone in ISU's efforts to "bridge the gap" of public perception and basketball equality, a step which states like North Carolina and Michigan took decades ago.
