
Posted by Darren K I have not read any warnings about stainless steel. Stainless pots and pans should be perfectly safe since the iron content is bound up in an alloy. The iron will unlikely leech out of those pots. Cast iron pots, on the other hand, are mostly, if not 100% iron and shed small bits of iron that we end up ingesting with our food. Acidic food and heat leech out iron from those pots since the iron is not bound to anything...no alloys. Hope this helps Darren K
