Liver damage

Before I was diagnosed Homosygote for C282Y 3 years ago, a liver scan was showing a hemangioma of about 1 inch diameter. The doctors told me that it was a pretty common thing and since it wasn't benign nothing should be done for that. I am wondering now if a iron accumulation area could be been misdiagnosed for a hemangioma.
