Nora, Thanks for the response. It would seem that I have to do some reading wrt effects of iron loading in the female population. I have been going on the general discussion in literature that females generally do not show symptoms for C282Y/C282Y until they are into their 50's or thereabout. Also, it was asking these sorts of questions that got a relative of mine diagnosed with Jeuvenile HH a few months ago...I never want to scare anyone, but actually having that form of HH and not getting diagnosed is a dangerous prospect.
