(I think the Canadian policy is more enlightened.) As noted in the above cited website, “Moderate, occasional social drinking does not pose a health problem for people with hemochromatosis who do not have liver disease.” You and your physicians are to be commended for your persistence and thoroughness. You have both done your son a great service by this early diagnosis. Happy New Year
