well, i personally kick my legs above my head if i'm doing a kick. Like, often they look lazy if they are down low. It isn't a matter of how high. just that they must be high if you're going to do them. If you can't get them up higher than your waist, take them out till you can. And if you want a good stretch....(it's coming anyway
), just sit ont he ground, one leg out infront and the other tucked around touching your bum, them get your head on or past your knee on the leg out the front. Once you can lie comfortably in this position...you got it. Hope this helps
