: Recently, I was able to complete my collection
: of 35th Anniversary Barbie Festival dolls
: from 1994 in Orlando, FL. The Red Velvet
: Barbie has always been elusive for me, but I
: finally found one at a price I was happy
    : with.
    :
: The red velvet dress along with with the
    : "rainbow" dress were both
: exclusive to Europe and sold as Haute
: Couture fashions. The pink and white dress
: was made specifically for the festival - as
    : far as I know.
    :
: There were other dolls available, all hair
: color variations of readily available
: playline dolls, like Dr. Barbie and a
: gymnast, as well as a brunette holiday
: Barbie, along with a collection of t-shirts,
: tote bags, pins, etc. with the festival logo
: on them. There was also a hair-color
: variation on the 35th anniversary giftset,
: that featured the two repro outfits. The
: dinner gift was a set of two repro
: ponytails, one blonde and the other a
: redhead, both wearing 35th anniversary
    : sashes.
    :
: Sadly I don't have much of those other
: pieces photographed. Really need to take
: care of that one of these days.
    :
: In the meantime, here's Red Velvet, along
: with the Rainbow gown and the pink and white
    : official festival doll.
