    : as a family vacation and even let my 16 year
    : old son learn to drive long distance that
    : year. I have missed 2 of the conventions
    : since then. Love going to conventions. Two
    : reasons: BARBIE and the destinations.
    : First we always make it a family vacation
    : with all kinds of sightseeing to do before
    : the convention and during. And then there
    : is Barbie.....Fun, Friends, Food,
    : Competition, Fashion Show, Entertainment,
    : Room Sales, Sales Room, and last but
    : certainly my favorite the Convention Doll.
    : I love to collect pins from the places I
    : visit and then along with the convention
    : pin, and other Barbie pins, I pin them in
    : the box around the doll. When I look back
    : over the years at the convention dolls, I
    : can remember that I went to the Birmingham
    : Zoo, Rocky Mountain National Park in
    : Colorado, seeing the Petroglyphs in
    : Albuquerque etc. The Barbie Con and Grant A
    : Wish are my highlights every year.
