So we went to Target, so I could use my $10 Groupon coupon. As it turns out, they don't TAKE the groupon coupon there - you have to bring it up online and get the code, etc... Anyway, more Groupon annoyance. BUT I did visit the dolls and got a cute Barbie pack dress, and a fun beaded summer bracelet (for me, not the dolls) and a $1 4th of July clear bounce ball with red, white and blue stars inside (I'm such a child and I love bouncing balls). Not a terribly inspiring trip, Groupon coupon aside, but I did see a doll I had not seen before, and considered buying, but then decided to think about it. Well, with the coupon thing not working at the register and going home to do the online thing, I decided to use it online to get the doll and use the coupon right then. It's fate, I guess! But I took some pictures of some of the dolls I saw, just for fun. I think the Target employees might think I'm a spy for Walmart or Toys R Us... Their stock is weird right now - nothing really all that new and exciting. But here's what was on the shelves...
The dress I bought.
I don't know what the heck is happening in Target doll world at night, but these two look like they've had a wild time. I was tempted to buy them just for the humor of it!
Ok, so these two seem to be in better shape this morning...
M2M Soccer girl...She just doesn't call to me, so she stayed put.
This gentleman is very handsome and if he were articulated he'd be hanging out with my Pool Chic right now. Sadly, he is unable to bend his arms or legs, so he was doomed to remain at Target.
Cute gift sets, but I'm on a "only Articulated dolls buying allowed" kick right now, so...
I think she is ADORABLE, and I might have to break my own rule for her...
Ok, you've seen Ms. Soccer on the left, but I loved how the mermaid on the right seems to be saying, "No, really...you shouldn't buy her...you really want to buy ME..."
I think this doll is lovely and I was very close to buying her. She was only $7.49, so it was hard to walk away. But, no bendy no buy-y!
Very sparse Fashionistas...
So that's about it! It was fun to take pictures at the store - I might have to visit Toys R Us and see if there's more to photograph!
The doll I bought online was not Barbie or Mattel, and some other dolls were also not Mattel, so I've taken their pictures out. They are in a post on DD, so if you'd like to see the rest, stop by there.
