I have been lucky enough to go to several Barbie conventions starting in 1993 in Baltimore md where my club hosted you've come a long way Barbie.. it was phenomenal experience. The awesome talent of the sweet Mark Oulette..

I have met a lot of wonderful people along the way.. a lady from Tokyo who has been going for the last 20 odd years or so..other great people like Gene F.. Susan A.. Lori N.. Sheri from Sherris dolls.. I could go on and on..

Room shopping is phenomenal.. the talent in the competition room is beyond amazing..all the ooak,
The dioramas.. the list never ends..
You see things there in person that you never see elsewhere..
My favorite conventions where the California in 2006 when joe blitmans club hosted the convention... it was amazing.. and flawless.. also loved Queen of the prom.. and philly.. theme was great and souvenirs were over the top..
The 50th was great as far as the dolls.. I think we got 6 dolls..
The worst part was that I got hurt there and I missed a lot of the events and that Marriott sucked( I will leave it at that)
Jacksonville was nice cause I got to drive there.. it only took us a little over 2 hours..
I am not going to Houston but I will go to Phoenix
If u ever have the chance to go.. absolutely do it.. You will not regret it!!
