    : and in particular that silver 'vette. I
    : also loved the ad because my parents would
    : take my brother and I to NYC every year at
    : Christmas and that included a stop at a
    : store beneath the Trade Center that sold
    : Sanrio products, including Little Twin Stars
    : and Hello Kitty. When the holiday were
    : over, I always wanted to ask Mr. Leitzinger
    : what he did with those display pieces and I
    : never did.

    : For years, I looked at shows and on eBay for
    : that display piece but never found it.
    : Then, after 2001, I figured any chance I had
    : of owning it was slim to none.

    : Saturday morning I was up before dawn to
    : start work on Thanksgiving and craft show
    : preps and there, in my email, was a notice
    : from eBay that they had finally found a
    : match to search. It was my longed for
    : silver Vette display piece - and located
    : only about a two hour drive from me. Had
    : the seller offered in-person pick up (it was
    : sold by a comic book store that I happen to
    : be familiar with) I would have driven there
    : on Saturday to get it. As it is, it's in
    : the mail, with tracking and I can only pray
    : that it makes it to me in one piece.
