I took the 1x24x36 piece of wood downstairs as it was really cold to sand outside. As I was sanding to put the conditioner on, the board cracked up the middle. "CHUCK!!!!" We can fix he said and he did. As I stained the bottom just to finish the bottom, I still thought I would like to but supports on the bottom....4 pieces of 1 1/4". Now I am happy...so it was on to the distress painting stage.... THIS TIME I put the lighter colors on the bottom so they don't get lost as I sand. You can always add more on before the final sand before staining.
