We went by train. This was my first long distance train trip and I loved it. So relaxing, with beautiful scenery the whole way.
We stayed at a residence hotel on the edge of Lincoln Park. We had a beautiful suite, and great views of the city and Lake Michigan.
Had Easter dinner at the Signature Room on the 95th of the John Hancock Center. Breathtaking views of the city and Lake Michigan.
If you have kids, you probably recognize Sue from the Night at the Museum movies. She lives at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.
Everything we ate was fabulous. I'd always heard about the great food in Chicago, and it is certainly not an exaggeration. Deep dish pizza, Vienna red hots, Italian beef,.....Yum!
I got this little cutie from Sherry and Gigi's Dollshop on our last day. She reminds me of Scout from "To Kill a Mockingbird". What a GREAT doll shop. They had EVERYTHING. If I had not been traveling, I would have come home with cases and all sorts of things.
Thanks for sharing my trip with me. We had a great time, and hope we get to go again. Hubby lived there until he was 12, so it was fun to see what was the same and what had changed for him. Very memorable Easter for our family. Hugs!
