For those who haven't seen them, Barbie is partnering with Lionel model trains this year. They're producing boxcars to honor the 65th anniversary. They will celebrate the original ponytail, the TNT era, and the Superstar era - with Christie in particular.
I've loved model trains since I was a kid and have a reproduction of the infamous Lionel "girl's train" with the pink engine and pastel-hued cars. These are exactly what I'm looking for!
To make matters more expensive? They're also doing a car commemorating the 150th anniversary of the East Broad Top railroad - the last remaining operational narrow gauge east of the Rockies. As a member of the "Friends of the EBT" (it's about an hour south of me) that place is also near and dear to my heart.
Going to be an expensive year, especially with convention in there too. Better find a job soon!
