That said, there was apparently some confusion among the HSN hosts themselves about exclusivity. It was stated on-air and on the website that the dolls were exclusives, but customer service reps at HSN stated that the info they had for taking phone orders indicated the dolls were only exclusive to HSN until November 6th. Since today is the 7th, I guess that makes sense
Entertainment Earth had them up for pre-order without photos back in July and around the same time, Apfel herself said the dolls were to be cross-promoted on HSN since that's where she sells her line of clothing, but available elsewhere.
I think this is a case of Mattel secrecy coming back to bite them, as I've seen online that a lot of people said they will be angry if the dolls end up not being HSN exclusives.
There are also supposed to be two more dolls coming. I've seen nothing about those.
