You really can't attend "events" without being registered, Ruth - except for public sale day. >>>
Room shopping is usually open to the public, though the hotel may have some measure of security to restrict entry. That all depends on the venue and the hosting club. (Tampa Bay Pirates will be hosting 2019.) I can't speak for them, but the news will be out by the end of this week.
Saturday is usually the public sales day... but the salesroom will only be open for a few hours - usually 10am to 4pm.
I have only been to one Natl. Barbie Convention - in Denver in 2002. It was awesome and lots of fun. I especially loved room shopping. I am from the Midwest and my son just moved to Kansas City so I am very excited that next year's convention is there. I am just wondering though if I should actually register for the whole convention or if I could get in on enough fun stuff without actually registering? I'm thinking I could do a lot of room shopping with the $400 registration money! Also, if I did register I don't think I would be able to be there for 4 or 5 days - so what are the most important days/events to attend? I appreciate anyone's comments, help, and insight! Thanks!
