Don't you hate it when you were too sick to remember? I don't remember London because of >>
having a high fever. I walked all across the city and even did the National Portrait Gallery, and I don't remember anything except visiting a pharmacy and getting meds and then going to sleep in a wonderfully cool, comfortable bed. Lol...
Hope you'll remember the next convention you go to!
Sorry for the grainy quality. These are old photos that have been scanned and I was so sick when they were taken, even if I don't look like it.
Friday's prom night:
The Queen of the Prom game board floor:
OOAK Barbies for sale:
These cardboard cutouts were everywhere that year. I had just bought the Lighter Than Air porcelain Barbie and she's in the bag I'm holding:
This was a wonderful convention, even if I don't remember much of it. As I said, I was sick and a few months later, I was hospitalized for nearly a a month after having a tumor removed. However, I must have had a good time because I look happy in the photos. I also remember that I had to wear my lanyard on my backpack because it kept irritating my skin for some reason.
I do remember stopping by the Starbucks in the lobby as I was leaving to get one more of the specialty "Malibu Barbie's Dream House Latte" or whatever drink the coffee shop had come up with. I also remember it had pink sprinkles on top, but beyond that, things are a little hazy.
Here's a link to the rest of my Dearborn photos on my website, for those interested: http://gallery.bethanysdollhouse.com/index.php/albuo02/2001-National-Barbie-Convention
