Instead of moping, however, I want to follow in our beloved Joanne's footsteps (big shoes to fill, I know, and I also know I will never even come close to her level of goodness and generosity) and have a series of themed photo banners, posts related to conventions, and yes, giveaways/drawings this week.
There will be at least one drawing a day that will be open to all, so look for them to start appearing later in the week. As always, rules and what not will be posted with each drawing.
The "Welcome To Convention Week" banner that you see in the header will be there all week and staring on Wednesday, the traditional opening of convention (or at least that night), all of the header photos will have a convention related theme. On Saturday, I will start what I hope will become a once a month weekend banner theme that focuses on the photos of one specific collector here at ITP and give them the spotlight for a little bit.
I will also post links to albums of photos from past conventions that I have hosted on my website. Anyone else can do the same.
Margie, John, and I also invite you all to share your own convention stories or photos. If you want to host a drawing or giveaway of your own, please feel free and see Joanne's original post above for information about that or contact any of the admins if you have questions.
Now? Let's play Barbie.
