No wonder at all. I had a doll on order in December that I never received. I ended up...
getting her elsewhere and eventually, the order just disappeared from the Mattel system. They truly suck at this.
So I have my Amelia from them and Katherine from Amazon. Much more difficult to get than they had to be.
I ordered Katherine and Amelia Earhart as soon as they were added to the shop, along with a Silkie. There was a sale going on so two of the dolls were only $23. Got the Silkie, but meanwhile my credit card was hacked so I had to update the info on the Mattel site. When it came time to ship Amelia, they emailed me and said my credit card was decline - because they were using the old number! I called and allegedly it was straightened out, but then was put on back order. Site said it was back ordered until May 7, but I still don't have it. Now I'm going through the same saga with Katherine. Talked to Mattel a couple of days ago and allegedly a supervisor is calling, but no word from one yet. Is it a wonder their sales are down?
Finally received my Katherine Johnson doll – this one from Amazon as Barbie Collector canceled my order. I’m really pleased with her over all, especially for $30 – and free shipping with Prime.
I especially like her little NASA id tag and rocket pin. Puts a nice little touch on things.
