Dear In The Pink friends,
I wanted to share with you why I have not been posting lately.
I have been away from the boards and my dolls since my husband suffered a serious fall from a ladder last month. I was visiting my parents when it happened and I had to come back to the country right away.
I have been taking care of him and the house + working on a long term assignment with 1st grade (I'm a substitute teacher) - compromise that I had since before my husband's fall.
Thanks God he is recovering and will gain 100% mobility according to the doctors. He is now allowed to walk with a cane in the house. His pain is not as strong as it used to be.
Yesterday was the first day in many weeks that I had time to "play" with my dolls for a little bit and take some quick photos.
While playing with one of my silkies that I bought recently from another collector (she told me that was one of Joanne's silkies) I remembered how sweet and considerate she was.
Joanne always had a way to find out which doll/item we were looking for and if it was in her reach she will surprise you with such a gift. I have so many little gifts sent with such a care from Joanne. She was able to make a gray rainy day into a Christmas day.
She always had sweet words for each and all of us.
She was our angel on Earth. Now she is our Angel in Heaven.
I miss you Joanne. I share so much with you, that you left and empty space in my heart and I didn't have time to meet you in this life. I hope to meet you in the next one.
