As a side note, when we were leaving the Saturday night dinner where we received our dolls, my mom tripped and fell in the hotel lobby when she was bumped into by someone attending the ServPro convention in the same hotel. One of our table mates had given us all tote bags as a gift, so to make things easier, since I won the centerpiece (which was a large floral arrangement with a framed Robert Best sketch in the center), we had packed all of our table gifts which included four other dolls, plus the Silkstones, in our totebags to make it easier to carry. My dad and my brother were waiting for us by the elevators to help us back to the room (our table was super generous with table gifts that year) but he couldn't see us for the crowd of people in the lobby.
A few kind people stopped to help my mom back to her feet but one person used the confusion to try to take both tote bags full of stuff. Someone in the crowd stopped the person from taking the bags and that's the only reason my mom and I still have our dolls and table gifts. Otherwise, they would have vanished.
