With any board, there comes a standard rule.
Since this board will be public, rules for In the Pink will be different than my private doll chat board or any other individual doll chat forums.
This is a hobby site and we will not get into serious issues of the day. Please review the rules. They are basic but firm. If you do not follow the rules, we will ban your email addresses through the ISP. It can be searched to your service provider to send in complaints. You are responsible for your own comments. This board does not tolerate any public bashing whatsoever. Please be thoughtful to others who collect Barbie when you make your comments. We all cannot like or approve of the same thing all at the same time. All of the Barbie series have equal respect at this forum. Please post using your real name or part of your real name and use a real working email. Please don't share an email address that you no longer use.
1- No foul language will be tolerated. That means do not use *** symbols to post such. No curse, swearing words or insulting phrases are allowed. We do not use special words in our names, ids for any reason as in: Do not use ( ) after or before the user ids here. To be fair, to all others in the past, who had their ids removed, we will remove any that we see. We do not do the seasonal id name changes like other boards can offer (for ex. -JaneDoein GA (Save the planet) ( or Don sings jinglebells) etc. We want to know who you are that posts. If you decide to change your user name here, please let the mods know. We have a short ban list and we need to make sure as best as we can, that those do not post here.
2- No spam allowed at anytime. Spam can slow our access time down as well.
3-No Bashing. No name calling allowed. No slamming other toys, other retailers or forum pictures and comments etc. If you have a personal issue with someone who posts here, take it off the board privately to discuss. Everyone has a fresh slate here. In The Pink cannot take sides. The rules will be enforced to protect others who want to be in a free stress zone on the web. This will be a friendly place so we all can have fun together. This is not a business site. Your comments are yours not the property of this forum.
4- Only Barbie and her family dolls (like Skipper, Ken, Allan, Tiff, Brad, Julia, Christie, Kelly family)--in other words all vintage and all modern Barbie will be allowed/all Barbie's family. Mattel Disney Barbie/Ken dolls can be shared. The forum allows: which includes anything that is related to Barbie like Barbie accessories, doll cases/paper dolls/coloring books/ clothing/Modern Barbie dolls/ Bob Mackie/ Silkstone Fashion Model and Custom Barbie CAN be posted and shared). Non Barbie props can be posted. You can use Heart Family Mattel dolls in your doll scenes.
5- NO NON Barbie dolls or NO NON custom Barbie dolls are allowed shown on this forum. There are other boards for this enjoyment and fun. I only collect Barbie, the entire sphere of Barbie so my interests are there. If you collect other dolls, you can feel happy to post here even though I only collect Barbie. You are not allowed to sell non Barbie/Mattel items on this forum--like Gene and Tyler dolls and so on...even if you include Barbie or include trading a non Barbie for a Barbie item. This is an ALL Barbie board. We will try to edit some of the posts under this rule but if certain posts are very long, the post will be removed. You can make your sales list of Barbie and include other items to sell and please email if you have any interest. We have allowed custom clothing, custom accessories, custom bits and pieces--items non Mattel (for Barbie and family size dolls) but the other part will not be changed. Also, if you sell any custom work, do not show that item on a non Barbie doll on this forum. If you see one of your posts were removed or in edit, review the rules or email us. It's not personal and we hope you will understand.
6- You have to show all other collectors respect. Like me, I don’t collect other fashion dolls but I have to keep in mind to be respectful to all others who enjoy other dolls. Manners required and be kind, not hurtful. I want this to be a helpful and fun hobby site.
7- No Obscene material, nudity will be tolerated or any link to or any image from a site containing any material outlined in these restrictions.
8- Do not copy user’s pictures with out their written permission. Do not borrow pictures that you see here and store on your web site unless you ask for permission to do so. Do not show pictures from books, magazines etc in case we get into copyright issues.
9- Share links for anything related to Barbie/how to tips/ store sales/ collecting information/ warnings/how to id vintage dolls etc/how to remove green ears from vintage dolls/basic info would be welcomed to help fellow collectors.
10- You are welcome to set up Barbie/family polls on this board. I have set that up for anyone to use. For example: How long have you collected Barbie with a variety of choices.
11- You must be 13 years of age to enter the free Barbie doll give a ways. The contests are for Barbie collectors only, no dealers can enter. A collector/ who sells for more Barbie for their collection can enter. When the forum holds drawings/contests, if you add text to the photos, keep them pleasant and with a friendly context including slang. This forum is a family oriented site.
12- You can offer free Barbie or Barbie related gifts and drawings on the forum-just use Barbie or Barbie services (and show Barbie related photos in any give a way if you include any photos) to offer such free gifts/ drawings. Most of the prizes from the board owner will come from current Barbie dealers. The board owner takes care of all shipping/taxes for the prizes on those gifts. By using current Barbie stores, it keeps the Barbie interest: the circle going. If one of my winners has a problem with a Barbie gift, email barbiepink and I will try to help make you happy if the seller cannot offer a new item or refund credit back to me for that winner's item.
Donating to our forum: We have received several questions about donating items as drawing gifts. We will never ask for the forum to give gifts. For those who opened their hearts to donate an item, thank you. You didn’t have to though we feel touched that your heart opened to share for someone at our forum.
If you have something to offer, let us know what item you might be considering. Send the entire details NRFB MIB custom etc. Photo if possible-let us know if we can use your photo on the drawing as well. One item per offering so we do not become confused and overwhelmed. If we don't accept your item right away, we may later. We do get a lot of mail and answer as we can.
For dealers: If you are a dealer and would be interested in donating an item, email in and we will see what you’d like to donate for free advertising. We will of course give you credit.
ITP would rather for one to let us share your name with the donation so you will have the credit. We waived the other item for the special person. If you are going to be unknown, ITP cannot promise your identity safe once the winner has the item. The way the other transaction was handled, the person was protected. They paid for it, we shipped. The forum knows the item did not come from ITP in other words, it was a gift and we just handled it for the party.
