A lot of genesis enablers setting up here.
I am not saying something will develop here; it just looks like an area that may have a chance.
1) Theta-e air is concentrating.
2) QuikSCAT is showing surface winds converging around the Keys. Also a cold front is setup a little north of this.
3) Shear is dropping fast with good UL divergence.
4) UL winds close by can support a pole-ward outflow channel.
5) SST's are warm enough.
6) Air is very unstable with CAPE ranging from 2000 to 3000, LI at -3 to -6, and 700mb temps at 8 to 10C.
7) Sombrero Key is reporting a steady pressure of 29.95"
8) Loop-Current is abnormally hot.
