You are probably trying to post that link as a picture and that is why it does not work. You need to post only the image itself.
To get the address of the image, you need to right click and hit "Properties" and copy the image address. In Firefox all you need to do is right click and hit "Copy Image Location".
However, for the NRL site, the image location on that page does not auto update. If you posted the picture on the page you linked to, the image would not update:
http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tcdat/tc09/ATL/01L.ONE/vis/geo/1km_zoom/20090528.1715.goes12.x.vis1km_high.01LONE.25kts-1007mb-371N-715W.100pc.jpg
Because it is for a specific time. However, if you go to the directory that image is in:
http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tcdat/tc09/ATL/01L.ONE/vis/geo/1km_zoom/
(You do that by removing all the text after the last /)
You will see a file called "LATEST.jpg". That one updates. So all you need to do is post this to the forum:

And you will get the following picture will be up to date for as long as the area is a depression:
If the depression were to become Ana, then the link would actually change to:
http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tcdat/tc09/ATL/01L.ANA/vis/geo/1km_zoom/LATEST.jpg
But that link does not work yet.
If you want to test posting pictures yourself, go to the CaneTalk forum and test it out:
