A new perspective for the GOM Low

How about a closed off LLC on ASCAT?

It is pulling hot WISHE air into its core off the Cat5 generator and loop current.

LLC is in the middle of a 2000 CAPE ridge with a Theta-E advection bulls-eye.

UL winds have calmed down to 10 to 30 knots.

Convection is firing NE of the LLC.

Looking good.

May look a lot better this evening.

If they tag it 91L, need to watch core-temp very closely.

They may have to get Miss Piggy ready after all.
