Brutal hot here today.
HP area extends south of us to the ITCZ and then north to Canada.
Five day lightning shows in the above link bigtime concentration of strikes in the tropical to temperate Americas.
Not sure if there are conditions enough to turn displacement current into coupling in the Atlantic, but this is the condition to make it happen. Meanwhile in the EPAC we SHOULD be getting something from this much electrical energy but we are not. This is, again, IMHO, due to the dam in central western Mexico--El Cajon.
