We here like patterns, analogs, and correlations.
I just noticed that Fred is on the list for 2009, with Fabian having been previously retired.
My correlation, which most intriguing, if only in a small sense is this:
In 1979, men's names were used for the first time in naming hurricanes. Prior to 1979, Frederic had never been used and never will again.
Fabian was retired in 2003, and Fred, the replacement name for 2009, has likewise never been used.
Fred is a shortened version on Frederic.
This is a significant anniversary of Frederic being its 30th anniversary.
Frederic hit my spot dead on.
Of course, none of this means a thing, but the interesting correlations abound, do they not?
I should probably sleep now.
