great article on the photographer & his wife here: http://blog.seattlepi.com/thebigblog/archives/131776.asp?source=rss their sites; http://www.groundtruthtrekking.org/ and http://www.aktrekking.com/ recounts their Jun'07 to Jun'08 4,000 mile "hike" from Seattle through Alaska's Aleatian Islands as well as their rugged life and many other treks in Alaska, which is where they got the breath-taking photography, including the awesome night-time lightning shots on AVO. And then ladies, just to top it off, she had a baby on Valentine's Day '09 - can you EVEN imagine hiking and camping all over the wilderness of Alaska while you're expecting??? Of course they hiked from the hotel to the hospital while she was in labor and also back, the day after the baby was born...
