The AVO one is quite fun. You can play a month worth of earthquakes. Zoom in close to Redoubt and select only "Earthquakes" in the "Daily Earthquakes" folder. Then on the slider that appears, hit play. Very fun to watch all the little quakes pop up.
As for imagery, you only get the same thing in GE as in Google Maps for this one. Imagery from 2005. But, it is in 3D in Google Earth when you have the terrain loaded, so that is always fun. Then watch all the earthquakes appear using the AVO feature noted above.

But I don't know where to find a recent real picture from space. With all the ash and other clouds, you might not be able to see much as you can with some of the derived products like the link above.
