Last yr 1 of our sons went to Bolivar Penninsula with a friend's family - this year, it's basically not an option: http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=9107 This yr they have invited him to South Padre - my apologies in advance for any tropical storms that may go that way - hopefully they won't get the back-to-back storms like the early 1900's http://www.hurricanecity.com/city/padreisland.htm Many are avoiding Mexico this year & I found a nice article this last wk that touted students' plans to go to hurricane hit areas here in the US & help with the recovery, instead of partying their brains out - now that's cool...
