Because thinner people eat less and are more likely to walk than rely on cars, a slimmer population would lower demand for fuel for transportation and for agriculture, Edwards said...
Sort of Nutrition and Diet 101 meets the Environment.
Then again... more people walk the thinner they tend to get and when they eat less beef and more locally grown vegetables... it's a duh. Good point.
How many times have you seen someone circle and circle and circle a parking lot because they refuse to walk more than 9 or 10 spaces to get to the store. Especially funny when you see them doing it looking for a good parking spot for the Gym...
We all need to live much more responsibly in how we eat and weather wise!!

: Yes, I am conservative, and proud of it.
:
: However, this article was from Reuters,
: hardly considered a 'wacko'
: organization or a propaganda based
: site. As differing opinions on GW - as
: it relates to weather - have
: historically not been very welcomed in
: the scientific discussion on this
: board, I thought some may find this
: article by a reputable organization -
: worth considering.
:
: As we enter the hurricane season, if it
: is busy, again we will probably hear
: over and over again on this board that
: it as the result of global warming.
:
: The article proposes a 'solution for
: all to consider helping with' that I
: find humorous, albeit - unrealistic.
: Perhaps articles like this will keep
: the certainly to come 'GW discussion'
: within realistic, scientifically based
: parameters.

: No offense RN but you must be a
: conservative because all the
: conservatives I talked climate change
: with had this one up. Or at least you
: visit the propaganda sites.
:
: Let me think. Before that it was
: global warming by cow farts. And polar
: bears population exploding and global
: cooling.
:
: It makes it really difficult to have a
: reasonable discussion, much less talk
: about a mechanism like electrics.
