Well what can i say.......a case of de ja vu!
The only difference is its 4 years on!
I couldnt understand why people were taking so long to build their Huntwing.....I thought it would take a fat year to get through the plans.
HaH! In the glow of enthusiasm, family and real life are factors you cant ignore and must take into account...be warned!
About £10K for your Huntwing ready to fly!
Ive spent £3K on lessons, been solo and then not been able to continue due to real life intruding into my dream.
1. Learning to fly
It can be done if you are self employed or otherwise employed where you can get time off at short notice for perfect weather lessons!!!! (they are rare but do happen.) A word of warning dont be "nice" when it comes to booking flying time be selfish and book double the hours you think you will need there is no way you are going to be flying them all, something called weather gets in the way!
2. Building a Huntwing
It also can be done, but my best advice is not to do it when learning to fly. One lot of frustration is enough believe me!
3. Reality
Learn to fly with a school that also has a winter training camp abroad in the sun, plenty in the bmaa mag, that way( if you have enough money) you can do it in a year!
The above is only my personal view, experienced by me first hand, and hard reality.
feel free to e-mail any questions.
